We collect only the information you provide directly to us. This includes:
- Contact and quote form submissions — your name, email address, phone number (if provided), and the message or details you supply when requesting a quote or contacting us.
- Documents submitted for translation — source documents you upload or send to us by email in order to receive a translation. These documents may contain personal information about you or others (for example, names, dates of birth, and identification numbers on official documents).
This site does not use tracking pixels, third-party analytics scripts, or behavioural advertising tools. We do not collect data about your browsing behaviour on this site beyond any technically necessary server logs held by the hosting provider.
How We Use Your Data
We use the information you provide solely for the following purposes:
- To provide you with a quote for translation services.
- To carry out the translation you have commissioned.
- To communicate with you about your project — including to clarify instructions, deliver the completed translation, and follow up on any revision requests.
We do not use your contact details or documents for marketing purposes without your explicit consent. We do not sell, rent, or otherwise transfer your personal data to third parties for commercial purposes.
Confidentiality of Documents
Documents submitted to Meridian Translations are treated with strict confidentiality. Your document is handled by Santiago Pedraza, our certified translator. It is not shared with any third party, not uploaded to any external platform, and not used for any purpose other than producing your translation.
Documents are not used to train machine learning models, to improve translation software, or for any purpose beyond completing the specific translation you have commissioned.
If you have specific confidentiality requirements — for example, in the context of a legal or commercial matter — please mention them when you request a quote.
Data Retention
We retain your personal data and submitted documents only for as long as is necessary to complete your project and to meet reasonable business and record-keeping needs. Documents and correspondence relating to a completed project are not kept indefinitely.

Third Parties
We do not currently share your personal data with third-party processors for payment processing or automated pricing. All quotes and payment arrangements are handled directly between you and Meridian Translations.
When online payment processing is introduced, any third-party payment processor used will be identified here and will handle only the payment transaction data necessary to process your payment — they will not receive your documents or translation project details.
This site is self-hosted and does not use a content delivery network (CDN) or third-party analytics services. No personal data is passed to such third parties as part of your visit to this site.
Cookies
This is a static website. We do not use non-essential cookies, tracking cookies, or advertising cookies. No cookie consent banner is currently required because we do not set cookies that require consent under applicable regulations.
If you encounter a session behaviour (for example, related to form submission), this is technically necessary for the function in question and does not involve tracking your activity across sites.
